Kulathur, also spelt Kolathur, is a town in the north-western region of
Salem District in
Tamil Nadu. It lies around 65 km north-west of
Salem and 15 km from
Mettur.
Mettur Dam, one of the largest dams in India, is an ideal tourist location.
Kulathur is linked by road with Channampettai of Erode District. Mettur Dam Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Nearest airport is Salem Airport.
