Makhar is a small town in Jhunjhunu District of Rajasthan. The nearest towns are Salampur (2 km) to the east and Bagar (5 km) to the north. Fourteen kilometers to the south lie Badagaon.
The district headquarters, Jhunjhunu, is around 13 km away to the west and holds some of the major tourist attractions. Beautiful havelis can also be seen.
