Deogarh

Deogarh is a small town in Rajsamand District of Rajasthan. It is about 125 km from Udaipur and 150 km from Ajmer. This town is set at an altitude of 2,093 ft above sea level.

Deogarh is surrounded by the neighboring towns Dhanla (23 km) in the west, Bagar (9 km) in the north, Tal in the east and Dewair in the south.

A famous town of medieval Rajasthan, it was best known as one of the old Thikanas feudal estates of Mewar. This place also marks the convergence of the borders of Mewar, Marwar and Merwara.

The major attraction of this town on the Aravalli Hills is the fort built in the 17th century. The fort provides a commanding view of the natural beauty of the lakes and rugged terrain around. A part of the fort, converted into a heritage hotel, now offers accommodation to tourists. Raghosagar Lake situated nearby is another attraction of Deogarh.

Maharana Pratap Airport is about 135 km away. Deogarh Railway Station is managed by the Western Railways. Deogarh is well linked by road network with Ajmer, Udaipur and Bhilwara (84 km) and Chittorgarh (125 km). Deogarh Bus Station is 2 km from downtown.
