Gurdwara Sri Datan Sar Sahib

Nestled on the outskirts of Muktsar, Gurdwara Sri Datan Sar Sahib is one of the major Sikh shrines in Punjab. This shrine is built in honor of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru.

Folklore has it that Guru Sahib killed a Mughal soldier who tried to attack him from behind. A gurdwara has been erected at the spot where this incident took place. Visitors can see the grave of the Mughal soldier near the shrine. All major Sikh anniversaries are celebrated here with much pomp and merriment. Magh Mela, held on the 12th and 13th of January, has special significance. Gurdwara Tuti Gandhi Sahib is at 3 km from here.

Amritsar International Airport is the nearest airport.
