Muktsar, situated 45 km from Faridkot, is the administrative headquarters of Muktsar District, Punjab. The town is famous for its Sikh shrines and Gurdwaras.

Famous shrines in the town include the Rikab Ganj, Datan Sahib, Dukhbhajan Sahib and Tuti Gandhi Sahib Gurdwara. Muktsar is also famous for the Maghi Festival, which is celebrated amidst much pomp and splendor. Punjabi Jutti is another major event held in the town.
