Hirapur is situated on the banks of the Painganga, right on Yavatmal District’s south-eastern border with Chandrapur District, in Maharashtra. Hirapur is just a few kilometers from the district’s boundary with Adilabad District of Andhra Pradesh, 6 km south of Mukutban and around 35 km south-east of Bori.

Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary and Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary are enticing getaways for wildlife enthusiasts. Chintamani of Kalamb and Sahstrakund Waterfalls are other places of tourist interest.
