Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary




Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Pandarkawada taluka of Yavatmal District in Maharashtra.

It spreads over 148 sq km of southern tropical moist mixed forest. The sanctuary is inhabited by hyena, black buck, blue bull, chital, sambar deer, peacock, hare, snake, monkey, wild boar, bear, wild cat, wolf and jackal.

The best time to visit is April to May.

Sonegaon Airport at Nagpur (172 km) is the nearest airport. The nearest railway stations are Adilabad Railway Station (35 km) in Andhra Pradesh, and Yavatmal Railway Station, 70 km away. Nearest Bus station is at Pandharkawada on National Highway 7, which is 22 km away.
