Jintoor




Jintoor is a sacred village located in Parbhani District. This is a beautiful hilly place lying on the Sahyadri mountain. Jintoor was known as Jainpur in olden days.

Jintoor houses about 14 ancient temples including 6 cave temples. Main attractions here are the temple of Bhagvan Parshwanatha and the 6 feet 8 inch tall idol of Bhagvan Neminatha. The chief idol of Bhagvan Parshwanatha, placed on a small stone, is popularly known as Antriksh Parshwanatha. The ancient temple of Rajulmati is easily accessible from here. Sahu Jain Temple with 1000 idols is also worth visiting.
