Deolali

Deolali, also known as Devlali, is a town situated in Nasik District, Maharashtra. It is about 16 km south-east of Nasik.

Indian Army's School of Artillery in the town is one of the oldest military camps in India. Set up by the British in 1861, it has quite a good number of aircrafts on display on its complex. An Auster AOP aircraft is the main attraction.

Deolali market, famous for shopping, and Lord Khandoba Temple at Khandobachi Tekadi (Temple Hill) are worth visiting. Close to the Deolali camp is Bhagur, the birth place of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar.

Devlali Railway Station, on the Mumbai-Manmad route, is the nearest railhead. By road, Deolali is linked with Nasik, Sinnar and Ozar.
