Ahiri




Ahiri is a taluk headquarters town situated at the outskirts of Allapalli, in Gadchiroli District. It is 5 km west of Allapalli and around 10 km south-east of Mosam. Ahiri is around 30 km north-east of Muyyabompetta and 4 km from Wangepalli.

The temple complex at Markandeshwar, Vairagad Fort and the sacred site of Ekora are some of the places of tourist interest . Tadoba - Andharai Tiger Reserve, Bhamragarh Wildlife Sanctuary and Chaprala Wildlife Sanctuary in the neighboring Chandrapur District cater to wildlife enthusiasts.

Sonegaon Airport and Hyderabad Airport serve Ahiri. Mancheral Railway Station and Mul Marora Railway Station are the closest railheads.
