Udaipura Temple




Udaipura Temple, built in Bhumija style, is an ancient temple situated at Udaipura in Raisen District of Madhya Pradesh. Udaipura is located to the south-east of Raisen.

The temple consists of a mandap with a bell-roof and pillars, which are highly ornamented. The shikhara of the temple has four spines decorated with chaitya dormers on the central rathas. The sculptures of diminishing heights are arranged in five to seven storeys in horizontal rows in between the quadrants.

Pipariya Railway Station, situated in Hoshangabad District, is the nearest railway station.
