Neemuch




Neemuch (sometimes spelt Nimach) is a small and sleepy town of Neemuch District and lies on the border of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Surrounded by hillocks on all sides, the town is known for its natural beauty, religious and cultural activities. Indore is 272 km south-east of Neemuch.

Neemuch has a unique historical importance as it had played a vital role during the 1857 war of independence. Bhadwa Matha Temple, Sukhanand Mahadev, Neel Khant Mahadev and Antri Matha Temple are the important tourist spots.

Nearest airport is at Indore. Neemuch Railway Station is on the Chittorgarh-Ratlam railway line. The National Highway 59 passes through Neemuch.
