Malayinkeezhu Sree Krishna Temple

The Sree Krishna Temple at Malayinkeezhu is located about 12 km from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Lord Krishna in the form of Bala Krishna (infant Krishna) is the presiding deity here. The idols of Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva, Sastha (Lord Ayyappa) and Lord Nagaraja - the serpent god - can also be seen here.

One of the noteworthy features of the temple is its nalambalam. It is believed that if anyone worships Lord Krishna inside the nalambalam, his wish would be granted. Women are not allowed to enter the nalambalam.

An annual festival, which lasts for seven days, draws people from far and near. It culminates with the Aarattu ceremony. Apart from the main festival, a grand festival is held during Janmashtami.
