Yelburga




A historical town in Koppal District of Karnataka, Yelburga is around 40 km north-west of Koppal.

Steeped in history, Yelburga was ruled by a famous dynasty during dawn of 11th century and was called 'Yerambarga' then. An edict obtained from the place explains about Yelburga from AD 1026 to AD 1126.

Itagi, 22 km away, is famous for a 12th century Mahadeva Temple. Gajendragarh (12 km north), Kuknur, Manglur and Nidgundi are among the surrounding places.

Hubli Airport (103 km west) and Bellary Airport (105 km east) are at equal proximity from the place. Koppal Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
