Cubbon Park




Cubbon Park is located at Bangalore, Karnataka. It was built by the chief Engineer of Mysore, Sir Richard Sankey in the year 1864. The park was named ‘Cubbon’ as a tribute to the longest serving Commissioner of Bangalore, Sir Mark Cubbon.

The Karnataka High Court known as the Attara Kacheri, is situated in the park premises. Other classical buildings inside the park include the Visveswaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Government Museum, Aquarium, Venkatappa Art Gallery, and the Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Hall. An amusement park for children called the Bal Bhavan, with mini theater, toy train, and museum is also situated here.
