Panchet Dam




Panchet Dam, constructed across the Damodar River, is located in Dhanbad District of Jharkhand. It is 22,155 ft long and 134 ft high.

It is a part of Damodar Valley Corporation and has a hydel power station, with a generating a capacity of 40 MV power.

An inspection bungalow, run by Damodar Valley Corporation, caters to the accommodation needs.

Kumardubi Railway Station (10 km away) is the nearest railhead. Bus services are available from Barakar, Asansol, Maithon and Dhanbad (50 km) to reach Panchet.
