Sut Haran Spring




Sut Haran is a splendid spring situated near Tosamaidan in Badgam District of Jammu and Kashmir. Tosamaidan is about 10 km from Khag Valley.

Situated in the core of deep forest, this enchanting spring is close to Line of Actual Control. According to the legend, Lord Ram passed through these forests and resided here with Lakshman and Sita during his 12-year long exile. As Sita took bath in this spring, it was named as Sita Haran, which later got changed to Sut Haran. There is a rock close to the spring, where Sita used to sit.

This beautiful spring is regarded as the chief source of Tosamaidan Lake and the water of the spring is very sweet.
