Shamsbari Mountain




Shamsbari Mountain, perched at an altitude of 12000 ft, stands between Ramhal and Karnah area in Kupwara District of Jammu and Kashmir. It remains snow clad most of the years.

Local populace believes that during winter the blind and deaf fairies residing in this mountain kill people.

Batmooji River gets its water from the glaciers in the Shamsbari Mountain. This mountain diverts the water of Kajinag to the valley.
