Nilagrad River

Nilagrad River is a small mountain river which merges with the Indus River at Baltic colony, about 6 km from the famous Sonamarg. The locals believe that the water of this river, noted for its reddish color, has medicinal power. Every Sunday, a large number of people arrive here to bath. The region is bounded by many other lakes including Bisansar and Krishnasar and picturesque meadows. This is an ideal destination for family holidays.
