Vamana Purana

The dialogue between the sage Pulastya and Narada about Vamana, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, forms the main content of the Vamana Purana. It is fourteenth in the list of Puranas and contains 10,000 verses. It has similarities in the contents with that of Varaha Purana.

It is considered holy to give the text as a gift to a Brahmin in the autumn season or at the time of Visuva.
