Sage Narada

Narada, the celestial sage of Hindu mythology, is said to have sprung from the forehead of Lord Brahma, the Creator. Hindu mythology recounts how Narada unceasing chants the name of 'Narayana', another name for Lord Vishnu. Narada is regarded as a celestial musician and the inventor of the musical instrument, veena. Mythological stories depict him as constantly roaming around the three worlds of Heaven, Earth and Hell. He is also depicted as witty and clever and at times his playfulness causes quarrels among gods. There are two famous temples dedicated to Sage Narada - Narada Temple at Naradagadde in Karnataka and Naraddev Temple in Madhya Pradesh.
