Dwarka is an ancient town situated at the confluence of Gomti River and Arabian Sea, in Gujarat. It is one of the four most holy Hindu pilgrimage sites in India and is closely related to the life of Lord Krishna. Dwarka is located 140 km west of Jamnagar.

Places of tourist interest include Dwarkadheesh Temple (Jagat Mandir), Dunny Point, Rukmini Temple, Nageshwar Mandir and Bet Dwarka. A boat journey to the island of Bet near Okha is an exciting option.

Janamashtmi, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, is a major event in the town, celebrated amidst much pomp and splendor. October to March constitute the ideal season for a visit to Dwarka.

Nearest airport is at Jamnagar. Dwarka Railway Station is on the Ahmedabad-Okha broad gauge railway line and is directly linked with Jamnagar, Rajkot (217 km) and Ahmedabad (378 km). By road, Dwarka is connected with Junagadh, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Porbandar.
