Mehsana

Mehsana, the headquarters of Mehsana District, is one of the largest cities of Gujarat. The city serves as an important center of agriculture and business. The Dudhsagar Dairy run on co-operative basis is an important society in Mehsana. The building which houses the dairy has been designed by merging the utilitarian and aesthetic concepts and is a good piece of work for those interested in building architecture. Shri Mehsana Teerth, which holds a 12 foot high, white-colored idol of Bhagvan Seemandhar Swami in the Padmasana posture, is the main attraction of the city.

Mehsana has its own railway station and the Ahmedabad-Mehsana highway passing by the outskirts of the city also helps in its accessibility. The airport is at Ahmedabad.
