Velsao




Velsao, famous for the Velsao Beach, is a quaint little hamlet in the north-eastern part of South Goa District, in Mormugao taluk. This fishing village lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea and is around 4 km from Consua.The twenty kilometer broad beach from Velsao to Mobor and Betul is considered to be one of south Asia's most beautiful stretches of sand.

Majorda Beach is nearby. Lodging facilities are available at Horizon Beach Resort.

Goa Airport and Cansaulim Railway Station are the main access points. The place is linked with the National Highway 17 by road. Regular buses ply from Margao, Colva and Vasco da Gama to Velsao.
