Sasaram

Sasaram is situated on Grand Trunk Road ( National Highway 2), between Varanasi and Aurangabad, in Bihar. It is the seat of administration of Rohtas District and is situated about 152 km south-west of Patna.

Places of tourist interest include Mausoleum of Sher Shah Suri, 3 km long Sone River Bridge, Tomb of Hasan Sur Khan and the historic site of Maner (17 km).

Patna Airport is the nearest airport. Sasaram Railway Station is on the Mughal Sarai-Gaya line.
