National Highway 54




National Highway 54 extends from Dabaka in Assam to Tupiang in southern Mizoram. This 850 km-long road spans across the districts of Nagaon, Karbi Anglong, North Cachar Hills and Cachar in Assam and Kolasib and Aizawl in Mizoram. National Highway 54 starts at Dabaka and runs south-eastwards up to Lumding. It then turns southwards and passes past Haflong to reach Silchar on National Highway 53, the total distance traveled being 145 km. Again running south, the highway enters Kolasib District of Mizoram. National Highway 54 is 335 km-long in Assam.

In Mizoram, National Highway 54 passes through Kolasib, Bualpui and Zantawn to reach Aizawl past Neihbawi. Beyond Aizawl, the highway continues its way south through Seling, Sercchip and Lawngtlai, before terminating at Tupiang in the south-eastern most district of Chhimtuipui. National Highway 54 has a total length of 515 km in Mizoram.
