Gyuto Tantric Monastery




Gyuto Tantric Monastery, built in 1975-76, is located in West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh. It is situated at Tenzingaon, 80 km from Bomdila. The main inhabitants of the monastery are Tibetans.

The monastery is a two-storied building with 14 rooms and a big assembly hall.

To familiarize the monks with tantrism, trainings are conducted in the monastery. In addition to this, grammar, poetry of Tibetan script, modern English, Hindi, Mathematics and General Science are also taught in the monastery.

The nearest airport is Tezpur Airport (52 km), Assam.
