Keesaragutta




Keesaragutta is a hillock at the village of Keesara in Rangareddy District. It is famous for Ramalingeswara Temple and has a lingam installed by Lord Hanuman.

Keesaragutta is also an archeological site and excavations have revealed some temples built of brick, rectangular structures with five cells and verandah, with square Garbh Griha, (sanctum), three celled structures and also antiquities such as shell bangles, coins, and stucco figures, lingas of crystal, Vishnukundin coins, pottery circles, red ware, black ware and grey ware.

Keesara is about 40 km from Vijayawada and 35 km from Hyderabad.
