Sripati (1019-1066) was an eminent mathematician, astronomer and astrologer of ancient India. He was greatly influenced by the works of
Lalla (an eminent mathematician and astronomer).
Sripati’s notable works include Dhikotidakarana (contains 20 verses on solar and lunar eclipses, written in year 1039), Dhruvamanasa (contains 105 verses on the methods of calculating planetary longitudes, eclipses and planetary transits), Siddhantasekhara (19 chapters on astronomy) and Ganitatilaka (a writing on arithmetic containing 125 verses). His works on astrology includes Jyotisaratnamala and Jatakapaddhati (Sripatipaddhati).
