Sheesh Mahal

Palace of mirrors



Sheesh Mahal, also referred as palace of mirrors, is a historical building located near the Ramnagar Fort at Ramnagar in Jammu District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 6 km from Jammu.

Built by Raja Ram Singh in 1885, the palace is decorated with profusely painted murals, paintings showing scenes from Ramayana, Mahabharata and battle scenes from Suchet Singh and Ram Singh's life.

Sheesh Mahal is easily accessible from the Jammu Airport and the Jammu Tawi Railway Station.
