Rooroo lies at the district border of Hazaribagh District inJharkhand. It is located near the state highway connecting Barlanga and Gola.

Tourist destinations accessible from here are the Canary Hills, Hazaribagh Lake, Hazaribagh National Park Tilaiya and Konar dam. Gola, a taluk headquarters town is nearby.
