Rajhara



Rajhara is a town located in Palamu District of Jharkhand. It is about 17 km north of Daltonganj, the district headquarters.

The place is famous for coal mines. Artisan Well, built by Bengal Coal Company in 1943, is nearby. Bisrampur is about 12 km north-east. Other towns in the neighbourhood are Rehla Kalan, Nawa, Patan and Salatua.

Ranchi, the state capital, is around 170 km south-east. Ranchi Airport and Varanasi Airport (172 km) are the nearby airports. Nearest railhead is Daltonganj Railway Station. National Highway 98 terminates at Rajhara.
