Pattom St Mary's Cathedral




St Mary's Cathedral is a holy shrine situated between Pattom and Kesavadasapuram in Thiruvananthapuram. This ancient church is managed by the Malankara Roman Catholic management.

This imposing structure with a clock cum bell tower and several stained glass windows is an ideal example for the neo-gothic style. St Mary’s Cathedral was honored by the visit of Pope John Paul II, when he came to Kerala. The church premises houses the St Mary's Press, Seminary and other educational institutions of the Malankara management.

National Highway 47 passes close to this church. Trivandrum International Airport at Shanghumugham (7 km) and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station (5 km) are the nearest access points.
