Patbaushi Damodar Satra is located near
Barpeta. It was founded by Damodardeva and got royal patronage from the Ahom King Pramttwa Shingha. It is believed that the chief disciple of Damodardeva, Bhattadeva, wrote Bhagawat scripture in prose form at this Satra. The manuscript forms of Guru-Lila and Dron-parva of Mahabharat are also preserved here.
