Kulsi River




Kulsi River is the southern tributary of the Brahmaputra River. The river, with a width of 19 m, passes mainly through Chaygaon area of Kamrup District.

It is the only river in the world where river dolphins live. The Government of Assam is planning to declare this area as a wildlife sanctuary for the conservation of dolphins.
