Jani Satra is among the famous vaishnavite satras situated in Barpeta District of Assam. It was built by Purushottam Thakur, the grandson of Sankardeva. This great monastery preserves various Vashnavite scriptures and manuscripts including the Na-Ghosa written by Purushottam Thakur.
