Guwagacha Satra

Guwagacha Satra is a unique feature of Vaishnavism in Assam. This famous satra is situated at Guwagacha in Barpeta District. It was constructed by Ramcharan Thakur.

Guwagacha Satra is about 8 km north of Simaluguri. The nearest railhead is Guwagacha Railway Station of the Northeast Frontier (NF) railway. By road, it can be reached from Barpeta (21 km).
