Chitrachedu is located on the northern bank of Penneru River in Anantapur District

, shaped out of a rock. The image is 25 ft high and carries Lord Ram
, Lakshman and Sita on its shoulders. Inderjeet (son of
) is found between its feet. This idol of Hanuman is considered to be the biggest in Anantapur District. It is also known as 'Kotakonda Hanumantharayadu'.
