Chatravana




Chatravana is a sacred place in Mathura District and is about 25 km north-west of Vrindavan. It is a forest area and is associated with Lord Krishna.

Folklore has it that Chatravana is the place where Lord Krishna proclaimed himself as the king of Vrindavan. Krishna used to play here with his friends. The famous Dauji Temple and Cintaharan Shiva Temple are easily accessible from here.
