Dauji Temple




Dauji Temple is a highly revered shrine situated near the famous Lalita Krishna Temple of Varsana, about 46 km from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. Dedicated to Lord Balram, the older brother of Lord Krishna, this temple draws a large number of devotees from far and near.

Dauji Temple is believed to have been built by Narayana Bhatt in 1533. The temple enshrines beautiful idols of Balram and his consort Revati. A concrete tower has been constructed over this temple. Uchagrama, a famous pilgrim center, is the nearby attraction.

Mathura Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead (46 km).
