Budhima Temple is a highly revered shrine situated at
Sonpur, in
Orissa. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Budhima, the deity of the Dhera community. In early days, the worship was done under a tree. The temple was later built by Bhagaban Senapati, the chief of the Dhera community. It is believed that King Pratapruda Deva had brought Goddess Budhima from Berhampur to Sonpur.
