Balumath is a prominent town located in Latehar District of Jharkhand. It is around 23 km east of Latehar, the district headquarters. Chandwa is about 17 km south-west.
Ranchi, the state capital, is around 82 km south-east. Tori Railway Station and Ranchi Airport are the nearest railhead and airport respectively. National Highway 99 has its route through Balumath.
