Anji




Anji is a small town situated on the banks of the Wunria River, about 18 km north-west of Paunar, in Wardha District. It is 33 km from Sonegaon and around 16 km north-west of Sailu. Wardha, the district headquarters, is 15 km south.

Bor Wildlife Sanctuary is an ideal getaway in the wilderness, suitable for a one-day trip. Other places of tourist interest include Gandhiji's Ashram at Sevagram, Vinoba Bhave's Paunar Ashram and Mahakali Dam.

Sonegaon Airport and Wardha Junction Railway Station serve Anji.
