Tyagadurgam

Located in Viluppuram District, Tyagadurgam is a prominent town on the main road to Salem from Ulunderpet. Kallakurichi lies to the west and Elavanasur to the east. Rishivandiyam is 9 km north.

Melnaariyappanoor Church, Thirunarungondai (famous for Jain temples) and Tirukkoyilur are accessible from Tyagadurgam.

Tyagadurgam is 115 km north of Tiruchirapalli Airport and 22 km from Chinna Salem Railway Station. Ulundurpet Railway Station is another nearby railhead.
