Kanyakumari




Kanyakumari lies at the confluence of Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal. It is the southernmost tip of Indian subcontinent.

Kanyakumari offers spectacular views of sunrise and sunset. The prime attractions are the Kanyakumari Beach, Kanyakumari Temple, Gandhi Memorial, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, and the Thiruvalluvar Statue.

The nearby places of interest are Vattakottai, Nagercoil, Suchindram Temple, Udayagiri Fort and Padmanabhapuram.

Trivandrum International Airport, about 93 km away, serves Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari is linked by rail to Nagercoil, Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai, Bangalore and Jammu. Buses ply at regular intervals from Chennai, Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram and Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari.
