Jamshedpur, founded by the late Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata, is on the
National Highway 32. This major city in Jharkhand is 140 km from Ranchi and is a major tourist center.

One of India's premier business schools, XLRI, is also situated here. Jamshedpur is also rich in mineral resources.
Jamshedpur is well-linked by rail and road to other cities and towns. The city has tropical climate. The best season to visit is October to March.
