Thoubal is the district headquarters of
Thoubal District and also the sub-divisional headquarters of Thoubal sub-division. It is about 22 km from
Imphal.
The town is divided into halves from north to south by the
National Highway 39. Thoubal River runs through the town. Khongjom, Sugnu, Waithou, Kakching and Pallel are worth visiting.
