Saru-Maru Caves

Saru-Maru Caves are located on the Hoshangabad Road, in Sehore District of Madhya Pradesh. This historic place is said to have been visited by Emperor Ashoka of the Maurya Dynasty, his son Mahendra and daughter Sanghamitra. The rock edicts and stupas found here are still subjects of research for archaeologists and research students.
