Aryankavu is a tourist destination and pilgrimage center 73 km east of
Kollam, on the Kollam-Shenkottai road. Covered by lush green forests, mountains and rubber plantations, it is the gateway to
Tamil Nadu.
The shrine of Lord Ayyappa (Sastha) is the main attraction of the place. Palaruvi, an amazing waterfall is situated about 5 km from Aryankavu.
The nearest airport is Trivandrum International Airport and the major railway station is Kollam. Thenmala Railway Station and Shenkottai Railway Station are the major narrow gauge railway stations in the region. There are frequent buses to Aryankavu from Kollam Bus Station.
