Murkal

Situated about 60 km west of Mysore, Murkal is a town in the southern part of Kodagu District, in Karnataka. It lies in the forest reserve area at about 12 km from Nagarhole National Park. There is an elephant camp at Murkal. Accommodation facility is available at the forest rest houses. Iruppu Waterfalls is about 25 km away. Calicut Airport, 112 km south, serves Murkal. Mysore Junction Railway Station is the nearest main railhead.
